Zgodnie z wydanym w ubiegłym roku przez IAB raportem wydatków na reklamę internetową za 3 kwartał 2009 w tym okresie wartość przychodów brutto reklamy online wyniosła ponad 300 mln zł. Z przeprowadzonych badań Gemius dotyczących treści audio i wideo w Internecie 84 proc. osób oglądających treści wideo korzysta z tych mediów by się zrelaksować: 70% ogląda teledyski, 59% filmy tworzone przez innych internautów, a 40% zwiastuny filmowe, filmy i seriale. Z reklamami wideo zetknęło się 73 proc. tej grupy respondentów.
- Internauci oglądają seriale, TV, newsy, klipy krótkie filmiki dostarczające rozrywki. Oglądając darmowy kontent wideo, godzą się na oglądanie reklam w tym formacie. Poza tym internauci mają co raz szybsze łącza, reklama więc wyświetla się bez zakłóceń. Internauci lubią treści humorystyczne, intrygujące. Im więc ciekawszy, innowacyjny spot wideo, tym chętniej obejrzą reklamę – podkreśla Niebrzydowski.
Z raportu wynika jednak, że zdaniem osób, które spotkały się z taką reklamą, treści wideo są nieinteresujące, denerwujące i nienowoczesne. Uważają, że nie przyciągają uwagi i nie stanowią dobrego sposobu dotarcia do osób takich jak oni. Ta negatywna ocena przekłada się również na zachowanie użytkowników sieci. Aż 2/3 internautów aktywnie unika z kontaktu z reklamami wideo – rezygnując z dalszego oglądania materiału czy próbując przewinąć reklamę. Co piąty ankietowany w czasie emisji reklamy zajmuje się czymś innym, a jedynie 15 proc. respondentów decyduje się na obejrzenie przynajmniej fragmentu spotu.
Z drugiej strony zdecydowana większość odbiorców spotów wideo (69 proc.) jest zdecydowana na oglądanie ich w zamian za możliwość oglądania darmowych treści wideo.
